Mark McIntosh

Vice Chancellor for Research and Economic Development at University of Missouri, Columbia

Mark McIntosh is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in microbiology and immunology. Currently serving as Professor Emeritus in the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology since February 2021, Mark previously held the position of Vice Chancellor for Research, Graduate Studies, and Economic Development at the University of Missouri-Columbia from July 2017 to February 2021. Mark's long tenure at the University of Missouri includes roles as Professor in the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology and Vice President for Research and Economic Development within the University of Missouri System. Furthermore, Mark was the Professor and Chair at the University of Missouri School of Medicine from June 2002 to July 2017 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California - Berkeley from 1978 to 1981. Mark earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Knox College and a PhD in Microbiology from The University of Texas at Austin.
