Darlene Smith

Darlene Smith is the current Assistant Registrar at the University of Mobile. Darlene has previous experience as the Senior Director of Partner Alliances at tekVizion, a company that provides formal, recognized business communications interoperability testing. In this role, they were responsible for growing and expanding strategic alliances with platform vendors such as Microsoft, Cisco, GENBAND, Mitel, NEC, and Unify. As the unified communications space evolves from on-prem to hybrid and cloud offerings, Darlene worked with partner product teams to enhance testing programs and extend the benefits and opportunities that develop within the respective partner ecosystems. Darlene also managed relationships with North American SIP service provider partners who engaged tekVizion for testing services, developing testing strategies to support field sales efforts.

Before their time at tekVizion, Darlene Smith served as the Senior Enlisted Advisor - Communications Directorate for NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan - U.S. Navy mobilized. In this role, they provided oversight of all U.S. Navy communication functions in support of NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan.

Darlene Smith has a Bachelor of Science in Business from Southern New Hampshire University and is certified as a Master Training Specialist from the U.S. Navy.
