Mike Parnell

Mike Parnell serves as the Director of Athletics at the University of Mount Union, a position held since September 2022 after initially serving as interim Director since May 2020. Prior to this role, Parnell accumulated extensive experience in leadership positions within various industries, including serving as President and General Manager in the plastics and chemicals sector, where successful turnaround strategies were implemented to enhance profitability. Significant roles included Senior Vice President at Bemis Company, Inc., leading multiple business divisions, and Vice President at Alcoa Wheel and Transportation Products, managing global commercial wheel business operations. Additionally, Parnell demonstrated strong P&L management capabilities during tenure at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, contributing to substantial revenue growth through diversified roles spanning sales, marketing, and operations. Parnell holds an MBA in Finance from The University of Akron and a BS in Math and Physics from the University of Mount Union.
