Carlo Lauro has extensive experience in academia and leadership roles within the field of statistics. Currently serving as President of the UPE - Union of Professors Emeriti from Italian Universities and President of the Association of Professor Emeriti Federico II - APEF, Carlo Lauro has held the position of Professor Emeritus of Statistics at the University of Naples Federico II since September 2017. Lauro's notable career includes being the Honorary President of the Scientific Committee at IRCSIA srl and a past full professor and coordinator of the PhD course in Computational Statistics at the University of Naples Federico II from 1969 to 2014. With a vast teaching background, Lauro has supervised numerous PhD theses and taught various courses in statistics, multivariate analysis, and research methodologies across multiple academic institutions. Educational qualifications include an MSc degree in Economics and Statistics from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, as well as advanced training from prestigious institutions in France and Japan.
