Travis Vanderheyden

Travis Vanderheyden is a Senior Product Development Engineer at Grain Weevil since August 2022, with extensive experience in prototype fabrication and engineering. At the University of Nebraska at Omaha since June 2013, Travis has served as a Prototype Fabrication Specialist and previously as a Research Development Engineer, where contributions included establishing the Machining & Prototyping Core and developing various biomedical and electromechanical devices. Prior roles included Prototype Engineering Manager at DK International Associates, leading AGILE project management for aerospace prototype teams, and several positions in the United States Air Force, including Tactical Operations Squad Leader and Airborne Tactical Support Operator. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and in Project Management from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Bellevue University, respectively, along with two associate degrees.
