Michael Flores

Michael Flores currently serves as the Vice President for Government and Community Engagement at the University of Nevada, Reno, a position held since February 2021. Prior experience includes serving as Chief of Staff for the Nevada System of Higher Education from November 2017 to February 2021, and Director of Government Affairs and Communication at the College of Southern Nevada from January 2015 to November 2017. Earlier roles include Press Secretary for Congressman Steven Horsford in the U.S. House of Representatives and Program Assistant for Clark County. Additionally, Michael Flores has held positions as Communications Director at ProgressNow Nevada, Graduate Advocate Coordinator at Workforce Connections, and State Director for Reform Immigration FOR America. Education was completed at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
