Steven Puckett

Steven Puckett has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as the Community and Business Outreach Director at the University of North Alabama since 2019. Prior to this, they were the Founder and Owner of On Mount Moriah, LLC since 2002.

Steven also served as the Managing Director of The Prosperity Fund at Southern Research from 2017 to 2019, where they led a $2.4 million initiative supporting entrepreneurial activity and job creation in four Alabama counties.

Steven Puckett co-founded Digital Answers, LLC in 2012, specializing in the development of software and mobile device integration to solve business problems. Steven held this role until 2017.

Before that, they were the Executive VP of Engineering at Pavlov Media from 2015 to 2017 and the Founder/Investor at SIM Electronics, LLC from 2015 to 2018.

Steven Puckett also served as the President of Aspira Networks from 2011 to 2013, focusing on enabling network owners to offset costs and add value to end-users' shopping experience.

Furthermore, they were the Owner/Founder of American IP, LLC, where they designed WISPs, ISPs, and local government networks and ran their own wireless broadband network from 2004 to 2006.

Their career began at Southern LINC, where they were a Principal Engineer from 2000 to 2005.

Steven Puckett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Auburn University, which they earned between 1993 and 1996. Steven later pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, completing it between 2001 and 2003. Additionally, Steven has obtained several certifications, including an Innovation Engineering Blue Belt from the Innovation Engineering Institute in 2019, a Leave No Trace Trainer from Lnt.org in 2018, a Technician Class Amateur Radio License from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in 2017, and a General Radiotelephone Operator License from FCC in 2000.
