Abby Genter

Abby Genter currently serves as the Associate Director of Student Transitions and Family Programs at the University of North Carolina Asheville, where key accomplishments include significantly expanding a team of Orientation Assistants and developing comprehensive training programs, as well as creating an accessible toolkit for EmBark programming. Prior experience includes roles as a Graduate Assistant for the Emerging Leadership Experience at Slippery Rock University, where Abby successfully transitioned programs online during the pandemic and developed leadership opportunities for students. Additional experience includes internships at Carnegie Mellon University and Stony Brook University focused on academic advising and family orientation programs, respectively. Abby Genter holds a Master of Arts in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Slippery Rock University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Ohio University.
