Bill Bares

Professor Of Music, Director Of Jazz Studies at University of North Carolina Asheville

Bill Bares has worked as a College Fellow at Harvard University from 2008 to 2011, and as a Professor of Music and Director of Jazz Studies at the University of North Carolina at Asheville since 2011.

Bill Bares received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Amherst College between 1990 and 1994. Bill later earned a Master of Music degree from the University of Miami from 1996 to 1999. Finally, they completed their education by obtaining a Ph.D in Ethnomusicology from Harvard University between 2002 and 2007.
