Jake Miller

Jake Miller has a diverse work experience in the field of athletic communications. Jake is currently serving as the Director of Athletic Communications at the University of North Carolina Asheville since September 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at the same university from November 2022 to September 2023.

Before joining the University of North Carolina Asheville, Jake had experience at various other institutions. Jake worked as the Assistant Athletics Director - Media Relations at Coker University from September 2021 to October 2022, and as the Director of Athletics Media Relations from June 2019 to September 2021.

Prior to their time at Coker University, Jake was the Assistant Sports Information Director/New Media Manager at Lees-McRae College from August 2018 to May 2019. Jake also worked as a Sports Information Assistant at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania from August 2017 to August 2018, and as an Assistant Sports Information Director at Coker College from August 2015 to May 2017.

Additionally, Jake gained experience as a full-time League Statistician/Information Assistant at the Coastal Plain League from May 2015 to August 2015, and as a Sports Information Student Assistant at the Bloomsburg University Sports Information Department from August 2013 to May 2015.

Earlier in their career, Jake interned in various roles, including Baseball Information Intern at the Lancaster Barnstormers in 2014, Grounds Crew Intern at the York Revolution in 2013, and Radio Intern at WOYK 1350 from August 2010 to February 2011.

Jake Miller holds a Master’s Degree in College Athletic Administration from Coker University, which they obtained in 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2015. Jake completed their high school education at Susquehannock High School, where they obtained a High School Diploma in 2011. Jake also has a certification in CPR/First Aid from the American Red Cross.
