Michael McNamee III

Michael McNamee III, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Michael is currently serving as the Director of Engagement, Alumni & Friends at the University of North Carolina Asheville. Prior to this, they held various roles at Colorado College, including Director of Regional Engagement and Assistant Director, where they implemented successful programs such as the Tiger Link mentoring program and the Tiger Trek student field trips. Michael also worked as an Instructor at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and the University of Wyoming, where they held positions in career services, admissions recruitment, and education. Before joining the academic field, Michael worked as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator at Greater Wyoming Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Michael McNamee III, PhD holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Education Leadership, Research, & Policy from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Prior to this, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a Public Relations emphasis from the University of Wyoming. Additionally, they completed a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a focus on Environment and Natural Resources, also from the University of Wyoming.
