Angel Hsu, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a joint appointment in Public Policy and Environment, Ecology, and Energy, and an adjunct position in the Geography Department. As the founder and director of Data-Driven EnviroLab, Hsu focuses on utilizing data analytics to address environmental challenges. Previous experience includes an Assistant Professorship in Environmental Studies at Yale-NUS College and various roles at Yale University, including Research Scientist and Teaching Fellow. Hsu holds a PhD from Yale University, an MPhil from the University of Cambridge, and a BS in Biology and Political Science from Wake Forest University. Notably recognized as the 2023 Hettleman Prize Winner, Hsu has designed and taught a range of courses on climate change, data science, and environmental sustainability.
