Ashok Krishnamurthy

Ashok Krishnamurthy is an accomplished academic and research professional currently serving as the Director at the Renaissance Computing Institute (RENCI) since April 2023. With a significant tenure at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from July 2015, Ashok holds various titles including Co-Director of Biomedical Informatics at the Translational and Clinical Sciences Institute (NC TraCS) and Research Professor in the Department of Computer Science. Previously, Ashok served as Deputy Director of RENCI and held associate and senior roles at the North Carolina Translational and Clinical Sciences Institute, the Center for Automotive Research at The Ohio State University, and the Ohio Supercomputer Center, where responsibilities included facilitating high-performance computing research. Ashok's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Florida and a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
