Garrett Desorcie

Garrett Desorcie is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in grants management and budgeting. Currently serving as a Finance Manager at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since July 2016, Garrett supervises a team of Grants Managers and oversees a diverse portfolio of grants from federal and foundation sponsors. Previous roles include Grants Manager and Account Manager, where responsibilities encompassed managing research project accounts, monitoring expenditures, and utilizing Excel and Peoplesoft for reporting and reconciliation. Prior experience includes positions at AV Solutions contracted to Corning Incorporated, where project management and budget analysis were key focus areas, and earlier roles at Corning Incorporated as a Cost Coordinator II and at the Corning Museum of Glass as a server. Garrett holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from West Virginia University.
