Giselle Corbie

Senior Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs

Giselle Corbie, MD, MSc is a distinguished academic and healthcare professional currently serving as Senior Vice Provost and Kenan Distinguished Professor at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since 2011. Dr. Corbie-Smith directs the Center for Health Equity Research and is recognized nationally for expertise in addressing the ethical and practical concerns surrounding minority involvement in research aimed at reducing racial health disparities. In addition to academic roles, Dr. Corbie-Smith is President of Corbie and Associates and an Attending Physician at both Carrboro Community Health Center and UNC Health. Educational credentials include an MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, an MSc in Clinical Research from Emory University, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Cornell University.
