Katelyn Smith

Katelyn Smith is a PhD candidate and Graduate Teaching Fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since August 2019, where Katelyn has taught various Spanish courses and served as a teaching assistant. Katelyn's teaching experience includes Spanish for beginners, intermediate levels, and advanced Spanish, as well as courses on Yucatec Maya and the Latino experience in the United States. Previously, Katelyn has worked as a coach at Orangetheory Fitness, a bookseller at Epilogue Books Chocolate Brews, and an English Second Language instructor with VIPKID. Katelyn holds a Master's degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature and International Studies from Meredith College. Katelyn also gained international teaching experience as an assistant English teacher through the COMEXUS Fulbright-García Robles program.
