Assistant Provost for Interprofessional Education & Practice at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Meg Zomorodi is the assistant provost for interprofessional education & practice at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Meg has dedicated their career to improving healthcare and nursing education.

Meg was a Macy Faculty Scholar from 2014-2016 at the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation where they worked to improve health education. Prior to that, they were a NFLA Scholar at The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International from 2011-2013.

Meg has also worked as a RN at Duke University Medical Center from 2001-2011, where they provided quality care to neuroscience ICU patients focusing on TBI, ICP, brain tumors, and chronic neurological conditions.

Meg Zomorodi has a PhD in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Meg also has a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from the same school. In addition, they are certified as a Fellow by the American Academy of Nursing and the National League for Nursing, and as a Clinical Nurse Leader by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. Meg also has Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Yellow Belt certifications from GoLeanSixSigma.com, and is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Meg Zomorodi reports to Robert A. Blouin, Provost. They work with Jason McGrath - Associate Provost & Director of Undergraduate Admissions, Michelle Brown - Assistant Provost & Director of Academic Support Program for Student-Athletes, and Todd Nicolet - Vice Provost for Digital & Lifelong Learning.
