Morika Williams, DVM, PhD, DACLAM, currently serves as the Director of the Comparative Medicine Residency Training Program and Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since April 2020. Williams has extensive experience in laboratory animal medicine, including completion of a residency at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine from July 2014 to July 2016, where involvement included collaboration with institutions such as Duke University and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, as well as providing clinical services for research animal programs. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Comparative Biomedical Science with a focus on Pharmacology obtained from North Carolina State University (2016-2020), a D.V.M. from North Carolina State University-College of Veterinary Medicine (2010-2014), and dual Bachelor's degrees in Laboratory Animal Science and Animal Science from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (2006-2010).
