Sherri Williams has a diverse work experience in the field of public health. Since 2015, they have been working as the Division Lead and Principal Investigator/Director at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to this, they held various roles at the NC State Government, including Statewide Program Planner & Evaluator for NC DPH Early Intervention Branch, Multi-County Regional Director for NC DPH Early Intervention Branch (Sandhills CDSA), Policy Coordinator (Human Services Planner/Evaluator IV) for NC DPH Early Intervention Branch, and Regional Consultant (Human Services Planner/Evaluator III) for NC DPH Early Intervention Branch. Sherri also worked as a Curriculum Coordinator/Trainer at the Center for Community Action/ Learning Together Program from 1996 to 1999.

Sherri Williams holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Public Health Policy & Management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Sherri also obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Education from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Additionally, Sherri completed a program in Massage Therapy and Body Work at the American European Massage Therapy School. Sherri has additional certifications in Facilitation, Master Instructional Design, Change Management, and Expert Professional Coaching from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) obtained in 2018.
