Janell Howland

Janell O’Connor is an experienced golf coach and former professional golfer with a notable career in women's golf. Currently serving as the Head Women’s Golf Coach at Lamar University since August 2019, Janell has previously held similar positions at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 2014 to 2019 and served as the Associate Head Coach for the Women’s Golf team at the University of Mississippi from 2010 to 2014. Janell’s professional golfing career includes membership with the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) from 2005 and 2008, as well as participation in the Duramed Futures Tour since 2003. Prior to coaching, Janell gained valuable experience in club management through positions at River Hills Country Club and Rio Pinar Country Club. Janell earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Lamar University and attended Trine University from 1996 to 1998.
