Judy A. Fowler, Ph.D., currently serves as the Assistant Director of the University Teaching and Learning Commons at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a position held since August 2014, where responsibilities include overseeing New Faculty Programs and Graduate Teaching Associate Training in collaboration with the Graduate School. Prior to this role, Judy held various academic positions at Guilford County Schools, including Associate Professor and Director of the Physical Education & Health Teacher Education (PEHTE) Program and Coordinator for PEHTE, as well as serving as an Elementary Physical Education Specialist. Additional experience includes a tenure as Lower School Health and Physical Education Department Chair at Nansemond-Suffolk Academy and as an Elementary Physical Education Teacher in the DeKalb County School District. Judy A. Fowler holds a Ph.D. in Educational Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, as well as a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education from Virginia Tech.
