Joe Dawson has extensive work experience in the field of research and innovation at the University of Nottingham. Joe began their career as a PhD student in 2005 and continued their academic journey by working as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow from 2009 to 2011. Joe then took on the role of Senior Post-doctoral Research Fellow and Laboratory Manager from 2011 to 2013. Joe Dawson's expertise in the field led to their appointment as a Business Science Fellow from 2013 to 2018. Joe subsequently served as a Senior Project Manager in the Business Partnership Unit from 2018 to 2023. In 2023, they took on the role of Senior Executive Faculty of Science Innovation Hub before assuming their current position as the Team Lead and Senior IP Commercialisation Executive for Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Nottingham.
Joe Dawson earned a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Nottingham in 2005. Joe completed their education at the same university with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Inorganic Chemistry in 2009.
