Lyndsey Smith, M.Ed., serves as the Assistant Director of First-Year Learning and Engagement at the University of Oklahoma since September 2016, responsible for recruiting, training, and managing a team of 90 Peer Teaching Assistants and providing mentorship to enhance their performance. In addition to this role, Lyndsey has experience as an Adjunct Instructor for first-year courses focused on academic success and strategies for students on academic probation. Previous positions include Senior Major & Career Exploration Coach and Academic Counselor, where Lyndsey provided coaching and advising services to undergraduate and prospective students. With a history of working in various educational and counseling roles, including prior experience at Bottom Line and various capacities at the University of Oklahoma and Community After School Program, Lyndsey has developed a comprehensive skill set in student engagement, academic advising, and program management. Educational credentials include a Master of Education in Adult and Higher Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Relations, both from the University of Oklahoma.
