Susan Sokolowski

Susan Sokolowski, PhD, serves as the Founding Director and Professor of the Sports Product Design Graduate Program at the University of Oregon since September 2015, also advising in the Undergraduate Product Design Program. Previously, Susan held the position of Vice President of Footwear Innovation at lululemon and spent over 17 years at Nike, Inc., where significant roles included Innovation Director for Apparel and Senior Innovation Designer for Women's Footwear. Additional academic experience includes adjunct professorships at Oregon State University and the University of Oregon, alongside consulting work for Burton Snowboards and FILA. Susan's educational background includes a PhD in Design and Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota, a Master’s in Functional Design and Human Factors Engineering from Cornell University, and a Bachelor's in Apparel Design & Production Management from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
