Sajini Dissanayake is currently a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) candidate in Botany at the University of Otago, where a range of laboratory demonstration roles have been undertaken, including for courses such as BIOL123 Plants: How They Shape the World and Ecology and Conservation of Diversity (ECOL111), as well as serving as a Disability Information and Support Test and Examination Supervisor. Educational background comprises a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Colombo, completed in 2020, and earlier education at Visakha Vidyalaya Colombo.
