Dalton McGuinty

Vice Chair at University of Ottawa Heart Institute

Dalton McGuinty served as Ontario’s 24th premier from 2003 to 2013 — the first Liberal to serve three successive terms as premier in over a century. As premier, McGuinty implemented an ambitious program of progressive policies that improved publicly-funded schools, combated climate change and transformed Ontario to better compete in the global economy.

He is now the special advisor to the president of Desire2Learn and serves on several corporate and not-for-profit boards. McGuinty is also a senior fellow at the University of Toronto’s School of Public Policy and Governance.
