Kerri-Anne Mullen has a varied work experience in the healthcare and research sectors. Kerri-Anne started their career as a Coordinator at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute in 2006 and then went on to work as a Manager at the same institute from 2008 to 2019. During this time, they also served as the Director of the Prevention and Wellness Centre & Canadian Women's Heart Health Centre. In 2016, they joined the Ottawa Heart Institute Research Corporation as an Associate Scientist and later became a Scientist in 2019. Prior to their roles at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, they worked at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a Manager for the Lifetime Fitness Program, Research Assistant, and Health Educator at the Campus Recreation, SportWell Center.

Kerri-Anne Mullen holds a PhD in Population Health from the University of Ottawa / Université d'Ottawa, which was obtained between 2009 and 2015. Prior to that, they completed an MSc in Kinesiology & Community Health (Exercise Physiology) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2004 to 2006. For their undergraduate degree, they earned a BSc in Health Sciences from the University of Ottawa from 2000 to 2004.
