Shaakir Shabir Dar

Shaakir Shabir Dar is currently a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Oulu, engaged in the iSUBLIME project focused on isotopes in sublimation. Prior to this role, Shaakir served as an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of Alaska Anchorage and as a Fulbright-Nehru Postdoctoral Fellow with the Fulbright Association, conducting research on water isotopes and their impact on atmospheric moisture balance. Earlier experience includes a position as a Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Science and a Research Consultant at the Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment. Shaakir holds a PhD in Hydrology and Water Resources Science from the Indian Institute of Science, a Master of Technology in Remote Sensing and GIS from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Jammu.
