Dave Baker

Dave Baker is an experienced educator and technology specialist, currently serving as a Sessional Teacher at the University of Oxford since February 2020, focusing on presentation design, academic poster design, and programming concepts. In addition, Dave contributes as a Visitor Experience Volunteer at the Ashmolean Museum. Dave’s notable prior roles at the University of Oxford include Head of the IT Learning Centre and Teaching Team Manager, overseeing extensive IT learning programs and collaboration with experts. Previous experience encompasses teaching at Abingdon and Witney College and holding various system specialist positions at AEA Technology and UKAEA, where Dave managed critical projects and developed databases. Academic qualifications include an MSc in Computing from the University of Liverpool, a PGCE from Oxford Brookes University, and a BSc(Hons) in Physics from the University of Bristol.
