Monica Matsumoto

Monica Matsumoto is a Radiology Resident at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System since June 2020, following a year as a Surgery Resident. Previously, Monica served as a Co-Leader for Peer Mentoring at Pritzker during medical school, where responsibilities included hosting mentoring activities and creating academic resources. Monica also contributed to the Society of Interventional Radiology's Medical Student Council and participated in various leadership roles at The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, including founding the Interventional Radiology Interest Group. Research experience includes work as a Student Researcher in Vascular and Interventional Radiology and a Research Fellow at Northwestern University, focusing on innovative therapies. Education includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies from Rice University.
