Hailey Weiss is currently a Research Assistant in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Michigan Medicine, focusing on studies aimed at reducing firearm violence. Weiss's experience includes training at the Penn Injury Science Center and a Research Intern position at Children's National Hospital, where educational initiatives for youth injury prevention were developed. As EMS Training Lead for the Cabin John Park Volunteer Fire Department, Weiss enhanced EMS training programs and led community emergency workshops. Previous roles include an Injury Control Research Center Intern at the CDC, Chief of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Research Associates’ Program at St. Louis Children's Hospital, and various teaching assistant positions during undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis. Weiss holds a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology with a concentration in Global Health Environment and is pursuing a Master of Public Health at the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
