Jason Zuzga is a seasoned freelance editor and educator with extensive experience in teaching and literary publishing. Currently self-employed as a freelance editor since January 2018, Zuzga has also held a long-term role as a Teaching Assistant for the Modern and Contemporary American Poetry MOOC at the University of Pennsylvania since September 2008. In addition to designing and instructing original seminars in the English Department, Zuzga has worked as an editor for Fence Magazine, overseeing both print and online content. Previous teaching positions include serving as an online writing instructor for Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Talented Youth and as a course instructor at the University of Arizona. Zuzga's early career included editorial roles at prominent publishing houses such as Alfred A. Knopf and Ballantine Books. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in English from the University of Pennsylvania, an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona, and a BA in Comparative Literature from Brown University.
