Sophia Ampgkarian

Sophia Ampgkarian is a dedicated scholar currently pursuing a B.A. in Political Science with a triple major in Comparative Literature and Russian East European Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. As a Peer Mentor Group Lead, Sophia guides approximately 20 UScholars in research methodologies and funding strategies. Sophia's research endeavors include an independent study on cultural and geoeconomics in Central Europe, with experience as a Research Assistant at the Perelman Center for Political Science and Economics and The Wharton School's Political Risk and Identity Lab. Additional roles include founding the REEES Northeast Network, internships at the Quincy Institute and the John Quincy Adams Society, and previous legal and compliance internships. Sophia's educational background features attendance at Institut Florimont in Genève and fluency in Russian from the Blue Bird "Sinyaa Ptitsa" Language School.
