Taryn Painter

Taryn Painter currently serves as the University Scholars Program Coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania, a role held since February 2024. Concurrently, Taryn has been a member of the events team at the Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site, Inc. since May 2022, where Taryn has taken on various educational roles and received a nomination for the Rookie of the Year Award in 2022. Taryn previously worked as the UACS Promise Corps Site Coordinator at the Netter Center for Community Partnerships, supporting high school students in West Philadelphia, and as an AmeriCorps Student Success Coach with City Year Philadelphia, focusing on educational interventions. Taryn's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in History, Political Science, and Human Rights from Towson University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Social Policy at the University of Pennsylvania.
