Antonio D'Amore

Antonio D'Amore is an established expert in cardiac tissue engineering, currently serving as an Associate Professor and RiMED Group Leader at the University of Pittsburgh since August 2008. D'Amore's extensive research experience at the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine spans various roles, including Assistant Professor and Research Assistant Professor, focusing on cardiac and soft tissue engineering. Additionally, D'Amore leads the cardiovascular tissue engineering program at Fondazione RiMED, overseeing a diverse team of researchers. As Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Neoolife, D'Amore spearheads the development of a class III medical device in the heart valve segment. D'Amore also offers bioengineering consultancy services to both private and public sectors and holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Biomechanics & Tissue Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an MSc in Biomedical Engineering from Imperial College London.
