Hua Tian

Hua Tian is a Visiting Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh since May 2022, leading a lab focused on mass spectrometry-centric spatial omics at single-cell and subcellular levels to explore multilevel heterogeneities in normal and diseased tissues. Prior experience includes roles as an Associate Research Professor, Assistant Research Professor, and Research Associate at Penn State University from May 2015 to May 2022, as well as an External Postdoc at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research from 2012 to 2015, and a postdoctoral researcher at Penn State University from October 2012 to December 2014. Hua Tian completed a PhD in Analytical Science-Imaging Mass Spectrometry at The University of Manchester from 2007 to 2011, a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry at the Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2001 to 2004, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Fine Chemical Engineering at North University of China from 1997 to 2001.
