Lina Dostilio

Vice Chancellor of Engagement & Community Affairs at University of Pittsburgh

Lina Dostilio is the Vice Chancellor of Engagement & Community Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh. In this role, they are responsible for leading the university's community engagement initiatives and developing partnerships with local organizations.

Prior to their current position, Dostilio served as the Scholar in Residence at Campus Compact, a national nonprofit dedicated to promoting community engagement among college students and faculty. In this role, they led a team of 15 research fellows in reviewing practice literature and developing a list of competencies for community engagement professionals. Lina also convened and enlisted the feedback of colleagues at three professional association meetings: the Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities, the International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement, and Campus Compact.

Dostilio has a long history of commitment to community engagement and social justice. Lina earned their undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008, where they majored in English and Women's Studies. After graduation, they worked as a community organizer in Pittsburgh's Hill District before returning to Pitt to pursue a master's degree in Public Administration.

Lina Dostilio completed a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Penn State University. Lina then went on to earn a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration, General at Duquesne University.

Lina Dostilio reports to Paul Supowitz, Vice Chancellor for Government Relations.
