Benedict Simpson is a skilled Race Operations Technician at Formula 1 since June 2022 and currently serves as Crew Chief and Event Technician at PINNACLE CREW LIMITED. Previous experience includes roles as Welfare Officer and Student Ambassador at the University of Portsmouth Students' Union, where Benedict contributed to improving the student learning experience. Additionally, Benedict held positions such as Treasurer for the African Caribbean Society, Online Assistant at Sainsbury's, and Sales Floor Team Member at Hollywood Bowl Group Plc. A Consultant Intern with Bright Network, Benedict developed customer loyalty program strategies and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance from the University of Portsmouth. Education also includes A-levels in Finance, Economics, and Btec Information Technology from The Ravensbourne School.

Portsmouth Students’ Union has a vision of creating a positive impact with every Portsmouth student during their time at University. As a charity led by our values and guided by our students, we do this by providing wide-ranging services and learner support to the 20,000 students of the University of Portsmouth. Create change for a better University. Anyone can get involved in the Student Council and run in our Elections for one of many leadership roles. As well as gaining valuable experience through our representation opportunities, students can also volunteer for one of our many volunteering groups such as VIP or SU Heroes. It's a great way to meet new people whilst giving back to the community. Our extensive Activities programme has over 100 sports clubs and societies. We also run one-off trips and events through our Give it a Go programme.
