Christina Philippou

Christina Philippou is an Associate Professor in Accounting and Sport Finance at the University of Portsmouth, where responsibilities include serving as Programme Lead for Postgraduate Teaching in Accounting, Economics, and Finance, as well as Director of Postgraduate Courses in Accounting and Financial Management, with tenure from July 2018 to December 2024. Christina also holds positions as an External Examiner at the University of Liverpool and UCFB, both set to conclude in January 2025. Prior experience includes a managerial role at Deloitte UK in the Forensic division from September 2007 to July 2015, and auditing at PKF, LLP from September 2004 to August 2007. Christina earned a Doctorate in Accounting from the University of Portsmouth from October 2016 to January 2023 and a Master's in Economics from the University of Nottingham from January 2003 to January 2004.
