Gareth Pearse

Gareth Pearse currently serves as the Deputy Director of Student Support Services (Specialist Support & Inclusivity) at the University of Portsmouth, with strategic oversight of specialist support services related to counselling, mental health, wellbeing, disability, and academic skills. Additionally, Gareth operates as a consultant through Gareth Pearse Consulting Solutions. Prior experience includes roles as Deputy Head of Student Services at Bath Spa University, where responsibilities encompassed operations, wellbeing, and disability, as well as coordination of wellbeing services and management of money advice and student support operations. Gareth has contributed to the National Association of Student Money Advisers as Vice Chair for Communications and South West Regional Chair. Previous positions include HE Student Support Officer at University Centre Weston. Gareth holds an MBA in Leadership from Bath Spa University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Derby.
