Michael Cooper Ieng

Michael Cooper IEng is an experienced engineering and maintenance management professional with a strong background in both the military and civilian sectors. Currently serving as the Strategic Maintenance Manager at the University of Portsmouth since September 2022, Michael previously held key positions at Savills as Head of Technical Services and Engineering Manager, where responsibilities included oversight of Hard Services and compliance with building regulations. Michael also excelled as Engineering Services Manager at Fujitsu EMEIA Property, leading technical direction for facilities managers and project teams. Prior roles include Head of Operations Engineering at Aban Offshore Ltd, Supervising Engineer at Transocean, and Marine Engineering Manager for the Royal Navy, where notable achievements include overseeing major engineering projects and managing significant teams and budgets. Michael holds an HND in Operations Engineering from Lancaster University and multiple leadership and management qualifications from the Royal Navy.
