Michelle Egan

Michelle (Mitch) Egan CB is an experienced professional with a diverse background in criminal justice and media. Currently an MSc student at the University of Portsmouth, Michelle combines academic insights with extensive operational experience. As a member of the Reducing Women's Imprisonment Advisory Group and a board member of the Women's Justice Taskforce, Michelle actively contributes to strategies aimed at decreasing women’s imprisonment. Since 2008, Michelle has served as a Director at Panopticon Consulting, providing consultancy on organizational development in criminal justice and advising the Criminal Justice Inspectorate Northern Ireland. Additionally, Michelle owns Earshotts, specializing in audio production and training. Previous roles include Producer/Presenter at Coastway Radio and Director of Offender Management at the UK Ministry of Justice, overseeing a substantial operational budget. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts in French Studies and Music from the University of Birmingham.
