Barbara Martini currently serves as a Research Fellow at The Bucharest University of Economic Studies and has been a Professor of Economics and Rector's Delegate for Equal Opportunities & Inclusion at the University of Rome Tor Vergata since March 2001. With a focus on gender dynamics, spatial econometrics, and social resilience in regional science, Barbara has published extensively on these subjects. Teaching responsibilities include Statistical Models for Master's students and courses in International Trade and Economics at Temple University. Previous roles include a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Short Term Consultant for the World Bank Group, and contributions to various research projects in Italy. Barbara holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Rome Tor Vergata and has advanced degrees in Econometrics from the University of Groningen and a Bachelor's degree in Economics, awarded summa cum laude.
