Joann Vallese

JoAnn Vallese, M.Ed., NCC, currently serves as the Associate Director of Academic Services at the University of San Diego, where responsibilities include providing academic counseling for scholar-athletes, implementing career readiness programs, and coordinating academic support activities. With extensive experience in counseling and educational development, JoAnn has held various roles, including counseling for Division 1 athletic teams, founding and directing a corporate team-building program at the San Diego Rowing Club, and teaching social-emotional curriculum within Poway Unified School District. JoAnn's professional background encompasses crisis intervention, family counseling, and the supervision of counseling staff, reflecting a commitment to fostering academic and personal growth among diverse populations. JoAnn earned a Master of Education in Counseling with an emphasis in Leadership and Diversity Studies from the University of San Diego.
