Johan Perols

Johan Perols is an esteemed Associate Professor of Accountancy at the University of San Diego since September 2008, previously serving as an Assistant Professor of Accountancy at the University of South Florida from 2004 to 2008. Johan holds a Ph.D. in Accounting and Management Information Systems from the University of South Florida, where research centered on financial statement fraud detection using data mining algorithms, culminating in a dissertation titled "Detecting Financial Statement Fraud: Three Essays on Multi-Classifier Combination, Fraud Predictors and Fraud Detection Using Data Mining." Prior academic experience includes being a Graduate (MBA) Student at the University of Colorado at Denver, and professional experience as a Data Quality and Integrity Specialist in Enterprise Risk Services at Deloitte & Touche LLP from 1999 to 2002.
