Juan Carlos Rivas Espinosa

Juan Carlos Rivas Espinosa, PhD, serves as the Director of Social Change and Student Engagement at the University of San Diego since August 2012, where responsibilities include leading innovative student-led projects and developing training programs focused on social change. Previously, as Associate and Assistant Director of the Changemaker Hub, Juan Carlos facilitated numerous social change initiatives, workshops, and student competitions while managing outreach and curricular integration of changemaking experiences. Career experiences also include roles such as Outreach & Education Director at Via International and International Student Programs Manager at Up with People, where skills in program management, community engagement, and education were honed. Academically, qualifications include a PhD in Organizational Leadership from the University of San Diego and a Master's in Communications from Hawaii Pacific University.
