Lissette Martinez

Lissette Martinez has a diverse work experience in media relations and reporting. Lissette started their career at Univision Communications Inc. in 2004 as an Anchor and News Reporter, where they also co-produced specialty shows on local issues. In 2010, they joined NBC News as a General Assignment Reporter and Multimedia Journalist, producing exclusive content for online platforms. In 2013, they became a Freelance Reporter before joining NBC Telemundo as a News Reporter in 2017. At the University of San Diego, Lissette served as the Sr. Director of Media Relations and later as the Associate Director of Media Relations. Lissette'sroles at the university involved strategic media communications and management.

Lissette Martinez attended the University of San Diego from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication. In 2003, they participated in a Study Abroad program at The University of Hong Kong, focusing on International Business Law. In 2001, they also participated in a Study Abroad program at the Institute for American Universities, where they pursued General Studies. Lissette also studied abroad at ITESO Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara from 1998 to 2002, specializing in International Business and Journalism.
