Michael Lovette-Colyer

Michael Lovette-Colyer, Ph.D. has extensive experience in higher education institutions, particularly in mission integration and university ministry. Michael served as the Vice President for Mission Integration at the University of San Diego, where they focused on integrating the institution's mission, vision, and values into all aspects of campus life. Michael also held the position of Assistant Vice President and Director of University Ministry, where they provided leadership for religious and spiritual programs and services for a diverse student body. Prior to their time at the University of San Diego, Dr. Lovette-Colyer worked at Santa Clara University, where they held roles such as Associate Director of the Ignatian Center for Jesuit Education and Program Manager for Faith and Justice Education. In these positions, they were responsible for managing daily operations, strategic planning, and overseeing immersion programs and ministry internships. Dr. Lovette-Colyer's work experience demonstrates their commitment to promoting the Catholic intellectual and spiritual tradition, fostering mission-driven cultures, and supporting the religious needs of students in higher education settings.

Dr. Michael Lovette-Colyer earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from John Carroll University in 1995. Michael then pursued a Master of Divinity from the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley, which they completed in 2001. In 2007, they obtained their MBA with an emphasis in Managing Teams and People from Santa Clara University. Subsequently, Dr. Lovette-Colyer completed their education at the University of San Diego, where they earned a PhD in Higher Education Leadership in 2013.
