Jalel Sager

Jalel Sager is a distinguished professional in the field of energy systems management and research, currently serving as Chair and Co-Founder, as well as Chief Executive Officer at New Sun Road, P.B.C., since February 2014. Under Jalel Sager's leadership, New Sun Road focuses on developing technologies to enhance energy access and support low-carbon development. Concurrently, Jalel Sager is an Assistant Professor at the University of San Francisco and holds positions as a Visiting Scholar and Research Associate at the University of California, Berkeley. As the Founding Director of CAL-RAE, an interdisciplinary research group, Jalel Sager leads efforts in energy systems and economics. Previous experience includes a Lecturer role at UC Berkeley, involvement in the Berkeley-Harvard Project, and serving as the Founding Executive Director of the Vietnam Green Building Council. Academic credentials include a PhD and an MA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA from New York University.
