Katherine Edwards is an experienced communications professional with a robust background in higher education and journalism. Currently serving as the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Communications at the University of San Francisco since August 2017, Katherine previously held multiple senior roles at the University of California Office of the President from 2002 to August 2017, including Executive Director of Marketing Communications, where leadership was provided to a 30-member team focused on enhancing public understanding of the University of California system. Katherine developed multichannel communication strategies and implemented digital initiatives, significantly advancing the UC's narrative to diverse audiences. Prior experience includes editorial positions at West County Times and various roles within the Contra Costa Newspaper Group and other publications, as well as serving as Program Coordinator for the USC Annenberg School of Journalism's overseas program. Katherine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Southern California.
